Aging Skin
Truffles offers many new and exciting treatments to
rejuvenate your skin.
We start with Medical Grade Skin Care. Our base system
is Obagi, a premium national brand found only in doctor's
offices. The system includes prescription strength
Retin A and Hydroquinones. We add carefully selected
products to complete a skin regimen that will deliver
you the best that medical science has to offer.
Our aesthetician will perform Microdermabrasion,
usually in a series, to mechanically exfoliate your
skin in order to prepare it to absorb the cosmeceuticals
better.
We are especially proud to offer the latest in light-based
(laser and Intense
Pulse Light) and Radio
Frequency (bipolar) treatments to improve the upper skin layer
(epidermis) and the lower skin layer (dermis).
Active FX, is a fractionated CO2 laser that will
remove the dyschromia (hyperpigmentation) of the
epidermis and cause the dermis to contract with resultant
skin tightening. This is a single treatment that
requires about 5 days for skin recovery. We are the
only Spa to offer this in Atlanta's south side.
Aluma is the latest in radiofrequency technology.
It heats the dermis and tightens the skin. Unlike
other radiofrequency devices, Aluma uses bi-polar
radiofrequency that delivers a pleasant warm tickling
sensation and requires a series of 6 to see its effect.
Aluma does not require any downtime from your schedule.
IPL
(Intense Pulse Light), is analogous to flash
photography through selected filters that deliver
select wavelengths of visible to light to improve
the discoloration (dyschromia) that includes both
browns and even reds. IPL is the only system that
will remove red discoloration from the skin. The
Lumenis One IPL is a fourth generation technology
from the company that invented IPL. It has many technical
features that makes it more safe and effective than
other systems.
For spot treatments of discrete lines and wrinkles
we offer BOTOX® Cosmetic and Fillers such as Juvederm™. BOTOX® Cosmetic
is a very effective non-permanent treatment for dynamic
wrinkles that are caused by muscle contractions around
the eyes and forehead. Juvederm™, a filler, is an
effective non-permanent treatment for static lines
or wrinkles on the lower face commonly around the
mouth and nasolabial folds.
An exciting new technique that may replace BOTOX® Cosmetic
or Fillers is the use of a Surgiwire. This is an
office procedure under local anesthesia that improves
lines and wrinkles by sawing the underlying bound
connective tissue. It requires no incision and initial
reports show that it lasts longer than BOTOX® Cosmetic or Fillers.
