Computerized Photocomplexion Analysis
The Visia Computerized Photocomplexion Analysis is a state-of-the-art photo analysis system. Visia takes a standardized picture that analyzes the skin for six different parameters: spots, texture, wrinkles, pore size, porphyrins, and ultraviolet light spots. Spots, texture, wrinkles, and pore size scores are in percentiles. The percentile scores are created from a database created from analyses of 3500 people from 8 localities around the world in different age groups and with various skin types. Porphyrin count (an indicator of bacteria lodged in pores that may cause acne) and ultraviolet spots (an indicator of sun damage) are absolute scores.
The Visia system maintains each patient’s analysis in its database. Periodic evaluations will show objective evidence of our patients’ progress with our medical-based skin care protocols.
