Active FX

Truffles Medispa is the only spa or practice to offer Active FX CO₂ fractionated laser treatment in south suburban Atlanta. This exciting new technology will improve the tone, texture, and tightness of the skin with a minimum of down time. The fractionated CO₂ laser leaves bridges of intact skin that hastens the healing. Within the first 24 hours the face will turn red. The redness will fade over the next three to four days. Patients are typically able to return to work or other public activities in four to five days. Patients will see an immediate improvement in the tone and texture of the skin. There will be marked improvement with hyperpigmentation. The heat that is deposited in the skin will stimulate collagen formation and patients will see continued improvement of tightness over the next three to six months.

Active FX is intended for facial treatments and is applicable for skin types I-IV. Patients with active sun tans or darker pigmented people may experience color variation.

For patients with deeper lines around the mouth and face, the CO₂ laser can be switched to Max FX, the classic CO₂ laser treatment, which is the gold standard for removal of facial lines and skin tightening. Max FX can also be used to remove epidermal skin lesions without a surgical scar. Max FX requires a longer recovery time of ten to fourteen days.
