Truffles offers two new Massage Services.

Tian Di Bamboo, which means heaven and earth, is added to The Deep Tissue Massage for the client seeking a deeper tissue massage using heated bamboo sticks.

Reflexology involves the physical act of applying pressure to the feet, hands or ears with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on what reflexologists’ claim to be a system of zones and reflex areas that they say reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.

Truffles Medispa welcomes our new massage therapist: Debra.

Truffles is proud to announce that Debra West, a nationally certified Massage Therapist has joined its staff. She is available for Massages both in Fayetteville and in McDonough, Georgia. She is available for appointments Monday through Saturdays with evening hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Pre Wedding Skin Care

Truffles Medispa has created a list of skin care treatments for the bride, the bride’s mother, and bridesmaids may wish to consider. We recommend starting early before the blessed day to give your skin time to recover and achieve the maximal results.

Microdermabrasion

is a wonderful treatment to restore the luster of your skin. Microdermabrasion removes the top layer of dull skin and prepares your skin for other treatments. Your skin will look smoother and feel silkier.

Facials

is the next step to cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, and moisturize the skin. Facials can also be relaxing and indulgent.

Chemical Peels

are excellent for removing hyperpigmentation from over exposure to the sun and making your complexion more even. Peeling of the skin from a chemical peel may last a few days to up to a week depending upon the intensity of the peel. Peelsand Facialswork best with a series of treatments.

Unwanted Hair

can be treated with either Laser Hair Removal or Waxing. Laser Hair removal requires a series of treatments spaced 4 – 8 weeks apart for “permanent removal”. Waxing is a temporary method that gives immediate results. You may suggest a “manscaping” of the back or chest with our high speed pain-less Duet laser for your future hubby.

Photodynamic Therapy

with BLU-U is an excellent treatment for active acne. Simply sitting under the Blue Light for 1000 seconds twice a week for 4 weeks will kill the bacteria that causes Acne. BLU-U can be combined with Levulan to shrink the sebaceous glands that produce the excessive oil that causes acne.

Radiofrequency Skin Tightening

will tighten and tone your skin. Radiofrequency stimulates collagen formation with a series of treatments that may take up to 6 months to see maximal results.

Botox

is excellent to correct those frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines from excessive muscle contraction. Results from Botox are seen with in 3-14 days.

Juvederm XC

is a filler to correct Nasolabial folds or lines from the nose to the side of the mouth. The results from Juvederm are immediate and lasts for 6-12 months. Allow time in case there is any bruising from the injections.

Latisse

grow longer healthier lashes to accent your eyes, the windows to your soul. Start Latisse at least 2 months before the big day to get the full results.

Permanent Makeup

for eyebrow artistry is available to help shape your brows and fill in missing sections. Our Permanent Makeup artist has completed advanced training on Micropigmentation and is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Micropigmentation.

what is the differences between a Medispa, Med spa or Medical Spa versus a plain ol’ spa?

Spa is actually an acronym for “Sanitus Par Aquam” or “Health through Water”. Historically people flocked to natural warm springs with their mineral healing waters for cures of their ailments. Warm Springs Georgia with Franklin Delano Roosevelt may come to mind. In America, Spas have morphed into an establishment for relaxation, pampering, and indulgence. A traditional spa may offer some forms of skin care such as facials and light fruit acid peels.

In the Twenty First Century, skin care has evolved to much more and the Medispa (Med spa or Medical Spa) was created. A Medispa is really a hybrid of the effectiveness of a doctor’s office and the pleasing atmosphere of a spa.

Truffles Medispa recommends that perspective patients/clients look for following to decide whether the spa is a reputable, safe, and effective place for your treatments.

First, The “Medi” means that the spa needs to be affiliated with a licensed doctor. Many of the topical medicines such as Retin A, Hydroquinones, and Latisse are by prescription only. Similiarly injectables such as Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra, and Radiesse are sold only to a licensed doctor.

Not all affiliations are the equal. Make sure that the medical director is closely affiliated with the spa and is available for consultations, questions, or treatments.

Second, we believe that it is important for the medical doctor to practice in a specialty that deals with cosmetic issues. We especially believe that Plastic Surgeons are uniquely qualified to be the Medical Directors of Medispa. Plastic Surgeons are expert on the both surgical and non surgical treatments.
