Blu-U Light

The BLU-U illuminator is not a laser, but it is used for Photodynamic Therapy. It is patented technology to deliver a uniform, narrow band of blue visible light that ideally activates the endogenous porphyrins of the bacterium propionibacterium acne and the porphyrins that are created from topically applied 5 aminolevulinic acid (Levulan Kerastick). Since it is in the visible light spectrum, the light is perfectly safe. It is the only FDA-cleared device to activate Levulan Kerastick.
