Aluma Radio Frequency Skin Tightening

Truffles Medispa is proud to introduce Aluma Skin Renewal System with FACES (Functional Aspiration Controlled Electrothermal Stimulation) technology. Aluma is unique in offering radio frequency (RF) energy in a targeted and selective manner. It combines Bipolar RF with vacuum to target heat safely and virtually painlessly deep in the dermis for effective wrinkle treatment and skin tightening.

This is different from other RF systems such as Monopolar systems (like Thermage). Monopolar systems use a grounding pad, and while the majority of the energy is converted to heat at the surface of the skin, much of it still flows through the body to the grounding pad. This extraneous flow requires cooling, and treatments can be painful. Other Bipolar RF systems without FACES deliver the energy primarily across the epidermis and not deep into the dermis. There is also the potential danger of arcing.

Aluma with FACES positions the skin for optimum targeting of the collagen-rich dermal tissues so RF flows in a straight path through the dermal tissue. It ensures 100% contact with electrodes to eliminate the risk of arcing. A coupling medium reduces the impedance of the epidermis, allowing the RF energy to pass through it without creating heat. As the RF meets the impedance in the dermis, heat is generated, which results in safe and effective deep dermal heating with little or no discomfort.

It is appropriate for all skin types (I to VI), including darker-pigmented people and all body parts, facial and non-facial. It requires a series of six treatments, one treatment per week. For optimal results, we recommend our medical-grade skin care programs, which will supply the dermis of the skin with the appropriate nutrients/medications to assist collagen formation.
